‘Who’, ‘EastEnders’ up for TV BAFTAs

The nominations have been announced for the 2009 British Academy Television Awards, which will be held on April 26.
Stephen Fry will battle it out with Harry Hill, Ant & Dec and Jonathan Ross in the best entertainment category, while Rob Brydon, Sharon Horgan, David Mitchell and Claire Skinner will compete for best comedy performance.
Soaps EastEnders and Emmerdale will go up against The Bill andCasualty for best continuing drama, while Charlie Brooker’s Dead Set is up for best drama serial against Criminal Justice, The Devil’s Whore and House Of Saddam.
The best actor nominations include Stephen Dillane, Jason Isaacs, Ken Stott and Ben Whitshaw, while the best actress winner will be picked from June Brown, Anna Maxwell Martin, Maxine Peake and Andrea Riseborough.
